A cidade de Saint-Denis no norte de Paris com os seus 102 mil habitantes, seus Museus de Arte e da Història, Igrejas do estilo gòtico do século XII e XIII abrigando admiràveis sepulturas dos reis de França, Universidades, Catedrais, é cosmopolita por excelência com diàsporas originàrias de vàrios paìses.
Como é òbvio, compreende-se melhor as minhas referências atràs citadas, ao informar que é nesta cidade que se encontra a "Avenida" com o nome do pai da Nação caboverdiana, inaugurada hà três anos atràs, e confesso que não podia haver melhor lugar para concretizar esta nobre idéia...
O P.A.I.C.V. difundiu convites no seio da comunidade caboverdiana e marcou encontro na "Avenue Amìlcar Cabral". A cerimònia que começou às 19 horas, teve como presentes a Sra. Etelvina Teque 1° Secretàrio do Partido em França, S.Exc. Embaixador de Cabo Verde em França Sr. José Duarte, Sr. Sérgio Sanches que preside o comité da direcção de campanha, Sr.Tibo Èvora responsàvel pela equipa de Comunicação, Sra. Maria-José Santos, e eu mesmo, membros integrantes desta equipa. Assim como a presença de vàrios militantes e simpatizantes de P.A.I.C.V., sem contar os passantes que marcaram uma pausa por curiosidade para assistirem o evento.
Tibo Èvora fez um breve apanhado històrico do nosso Heròi nacional, e fez uma curta entoação da canção "Mamãe velha..." da autoria de Amìlcar Cabral, e mundialmente conhecida na voz da cantora brasileira Alcione.
Uma coroa de flores foi posta frente da placa "Avenue Amìlcar Cabral / 1924 - 1973" pela Sra. Etelvina Teque, e fez em seguida uma breve resenha històrica evocando os motivos da nossa presença na doravante històrica Avenida.
O evento continuou com o lançamento oficial da campanha no centro da cidade de Saint-Denis num salão do Square de Geyter, onde um breve discurso foi pronunciado pelo Sr. José Duarte Embaixador de Cabo Verde em França, e que mesmo aproveitou o ensejo para nos cantar algumas mornas do nosso repertòrio nacional.
A serenata musical foi assegurada pelo cantor caboverdiano Jorge Humberto e outros artistas da nossa comunidade. Num ambiente de caboverdianidade foi servida uma ligeira refeição, imortalizado pelos fotogràfos presentes para o efeito, e a filmagem de um clip-video.
Convém referir que, a amizade e a colaboração preciosa do Sr. Didier Paillard Presidente da Câmara Municipal de Saint-Denis, foi preponderante para o desenrolar deste evento, que como sempre não hesitou pôr à disposição do Sector de P.A.I.C.V. em França, estruturas de acolhimento e outros meios necessàrios para a boa recepção dos nossos compatriotas.
Sobretudo não esqueça de ir votar no pròximo domingo dia 6 de Fevereiro (à partir das 08h00 até 18h00), na Embaixada de Cabo Verde situada em Paris, para melhor assegurarmos "MA NU MESTI MANTI" com o JOSÈ MARIA NEVES e P.A.I.C.V., pois o futuro està nas nossas mãos e não deixemos que antigos "usurpadores" decida por nòs...!!
