VIOLA DAVIS, entrou-se na història de Hollywood este domingo por ser a
primeira atriz negra a receber um “Emmy Award” num papel dramàtico, no filme “How
to Get Away With Murder”.
Uma pergunta simples : Porque sò agora? O que VIOLA DAVIS mesma
respondeu aquando do seu discurso de agradecimento: “Não podemos nunca ganhar
um Emmy Award sem tivermos um papel num filme”. Pudera, lògico...!
Todavia convém lembrar que “BILL COSBY” foi o primeiro ator
afro-americano galardoado com um “Emmy” em 1966, em pleno Movimento agitado dos
afro-americanos para a conquista dos direitos cìvicos.
Se calhar teremos que esperar mais um meio-século para que uma negra
veja de novo a cor dum Emmy Awards.
