O cantor carioca, Emìlio Santiago faleceu ontem vìtima dum
“acidente vascular cerebral” (AVC),
depois de ter sido internado num Hospital de Rio de Janeiro desde dia 7 do
corrente mês... Uma grande perda para a mùsica popular brasileira! Emìlio Santiago tinha 66 anos de idade e
mais de 40 anos de carreira.
Dotado de uma voz enveludada,
romântica, e de um timbre inconfundìvel, Emìlio
Santiago tinha uma discografia composta por 30 albuns, sendo o primeiro saiu em 1973 e o ùltimo em 2012.
Tendo participado em vàrios festivais e ganho alguns deles.
Emìlio Santiago formou-se em Direito pela Faculdade Nacional
de Direito, mas a sua paixão para a mùsica foi mais forte peculiarmente as
mùsicas românticas e o samba. Amigo muito pròximo de Alcione, outra grande voz do Brasil, o que não resisti de publicar
aqui estas duas interpretações, juntos: “Trocando
em miùdos, 40 anos, e Tu me Acostumbrastes (uma versão espanhola de Logo Agora)” com Emìlio Santiago em solo.
