Benvinda oriunda do seu Mindelo, sua cidade natal, conseguiu impôr-se no meio da arte parisiense, conseguindo sempre um espaço para expôr o seu trabalho, o qual tive a oportunidade de apreciar numa das exposições no "Hotel de Ville de Paris" e que dediquei um artigo neste Blog no ano passado.
Benvinda, fiel Nothombiana? Não sei, o que é certo a arte atrai a arte... E as duas artistas cada uma no seu respectivo talento nos fazem sonhar, reflectir, ou projectar, três carburantes que também fazem funcionar a sociedade seja onde fôr que ela estiver enraìzada...
Amélie Nothomb, filha de um escritor belga e diplomata (Embaixador) Patrick Nothomb, é autora ainda de "Stupeur et Tremblements", livro que foi coroado em 1999 com um prémio "Grand Prix du Roman de l'Académie Française".
Este romance foi adaptado na sétima arte, em 2003, o que permitiu a actriz francesa Syilvie Testud de receber um "César" em França (equivalente de Òscar nos USA), como actriz principal.
Esta romancista é uma das mais prolìficas da Europa, escreve desde 1992, com uma média impressionante de três livros por ano, e sò publica um livro anualmente.
Ela é muitas vezes descrita como solitària e misteriosa, não obstante não lhe impediu de ser uma das romascistas mais privilegiada da mass-média da Europa, essencialmente da televisão. Na realidade ela nasceu no Japão, na cidade de Kobé em 1967, e sò veio para a Bélgica (o paìs de seus pais) com a idade de 17 anos para estudar filologia romana na Universidade Livre de Bruxelas. Tendo em seguida regressado ao Japão para trabalhar, actualmente reside em Bruxelas e sempre fazendo vai-vem entre esta cidade e Paris.
Passou muito tempo a seguir o pai diplomata, facto que a levou a conhecer vàrios paìses onde este foi destacado. Como é òbvio, falar de Amélie Nothomb, do seu talento e da sua paixão pela escrita não é em poucas linhas, e os detalhes não são exaustivos.
